I was so close to losing Malti several times, according to Priyanka Chopra

In a recent interview, Priyanka Chopra revealed how she almost lost her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas shortly after her birth. Malti, the child of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, was born prematurely and spent 100 days in the NICU before the parents could take her home.

Priyanka said to Elle magazine, in response to a question on how she spent her first Mother's Day after Malti was born, “I've not been a mom long enough to be able to take the celebration, but I love to celebrate the moms in my life on Mother's Day.”

“She has me tangled up in her finger. I'm not even sure how I'll ever correct her since I just lack the will to do it. She can get away with anything since I came so close to losing her so many times, and all I want is to see her happy. Her happiness is what I desire most. All I want is to see her joyful, and she is a really cheerful, smiling baby. Her grin brightens my life every time, and that is all I want to do, she continued.

Priyanka Chopra wrote a lengthy remark on her first Mother's Day post. “On this Mother's Day, we can't help but think back on the past few months and the emotional rollercoaster we've been on, which we now realise that a great number of people have also gone through,” she added. Our little daughter has spent more than 100 days in the NICU and is now at home.

While our journey was difficult for a while, she continued, “What becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. Every family's journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith. We just want to express our gratitude to each and every doctor, nurse, and specialist at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles and Rady Children's in La Jolla who selflessly supported us throughout the whole process. We are so happy that our little daughter is now home. Our kid is certainly a badass, and our new chapter is about to begin. Get going, MM! Your parents adore you.
