Alia Bhatt, a Bollywood actress, seems to have left the MET Gala After Party on Monday night (Tuesday afternoon IST) in order to go home. Just a few hours after making her memorable MET Gala debut, the actress was spotted returning to the bay. In the early hours of Wednesday, the paparazzi saw Priyanka leaving the airport. Alia was seen leaving for home while sporting a laid-back look and flashing a smile.
Alia seemed to be traveling by herself. Alia garnered media attention on Monday (Tuesday, IST) as she entered the MET Gala's red carpet. She made her appearance in a huge Prabal Gurung gown embellished with one lakh pearls.
Alia wore an all-white gown with a spectacular transparent train and a pearl-encrusted bodice. She choose a fingerless glove to complement her sparkling outfit, which had a scooped neckline and a full skirt. Alia kept her makeup simple so that her fashionable outfit could speak for itself. She chose smokey eyes and bare lips to up her fashion game. She completed her ensemble with a set of striking earrings covered with spikes and pearls.
Prabal said on Instagram that this was not the first time he had attempted to get Alia to attend the MET Gala as he spoke about her MET Gala debut. “I first met Alia in Mumbai on my best buddy Karan Johar's 40th birthday. I had heard nothing but wonderful things about her from him and my brother Pravesh, who was working with Karan on her first movie. When I first met her, I fell in love with her right away. But above all, she's a friend, a wonderful friend, and a loyal one; that's what makes her really remarkable,” he said. “To me, she is one of the best performers we have right now internationally.
“For a very long time, we've spoken about a Met moment. She has declined my invitations in the past because she is sensible enough to suggest we wait. This time, however, she felt that it was the right time, so she agreed. With Anaita, we then used our wildest imaginations to create a tribute to Karl that honored her heritage (100,000 pearls were hand embroidered in Mumbai), my love for Karl (he is my master, and yes, he did present me with my CVFF award), and it was all produced in New York. “Alia, I will always be thankful that we have this for the future. I'm grateful for the lovely recollection. Been a longtime admirer of your ability as well as of your kind, compassionate nature and heart; appreciative friend,” he remarked.
