The integrated manufacturing and logistics facility for consumer products owned by ITC was opened at Khurda on Monday by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Patnaik congratulated ITC CMD Sanjeev Puri and asked him to increase the business' presence in the state.
He reaffirmed the state government's commitment to turning Odisha into the nation's next industrial center. He said that the Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) 2022 aspires to make Odisha a modern and advanced industrial state by providing investors with exceptional prospects for sustainable company growth and promoting the people's overall socio-economic development.
IPR 2022 lists the food processing industry as one of its key areas, and this ITC facility represents a crucial turning point for Odisha, according to him. It is the first integrated logistics and manufacturing facility for consumer products in Odisha, and it covers 35 acres.
Seven manufacturing lines can be accommodated in the facility, which is strategically built to produce ITC's premium food brands including Aashirvaad atta and Yippee! among other things, noodles, Sunfeast cookies, and Bingo! Chips.
Among others, Jatni MLA Suresh Kumar Routray and Khurda MLA Jyotirindra Nath Mitra attended the opening event. The forward-thinking device is run by sophisticated hardware with built-in data analytics and cutting-edge digital infrastructure.
At the production level, the Khurda plant will employ more than 55% women. Through a number of co-manufacturing facilities for its FMCG items, the corporation will also keep promoting local entrepreneurship.
By offering world-class investment facilitation to investors across sectors, the establishment of this integrated facility by ITC with the government's active assistance strengthens the state government's commitment to supporting industrial development and generating job opportunities.
