<p>“A person’s surname in India indicates his caste. My father was a Kayasth by birth. He decided to use Bachchan, his poet alias, as his last name. That ended up becoming his name, Amitabh remarked.</p>
<p>After I grew up, I had to enroll in school, he added. My parents were questioned at the school for my last name. according to the memoirs of my father. This is something that I have also brought up often. My parents exchanged confused glances as they considered their options. My mum advised him to adopt your last name. I became Amitabh Bachchan in this way.</p>
